An old proverb states: “Not the glittering weapon fights the fight, but rather the hero’s heart.” This is in many ways the heart of the matter as it pertains to heroes; it is not what one does, but rather what one is.
A heroine is devoted to something, some ideal, bigger than herself. Join Brad and George on January 16th at 7:00 PM for a surprising and stimulating look at heroism, what constitutes a heroic heart and a discussion of heroes and heroines, their archetypal manifestations, and heroism’s personal ramifications.

Over 40 people turned out on New Year’s Eve to celebrate the new year, set personal intentions and combine energy toward a world peace “om” that lasted several minutes and reverberated not only around the building, but accross the community and around our planet.
The event was a huge success in large part because of the coordination by Holly Troy who facilitated the meditation and workshop which lasted about an hour. After that, Mountain Waves unveiled a custom stained glass art piece for the lobby, created by artist Vickie Belman of Spiral Mountain Design in Flagstaff. “We’re deeply honored to be able to display this work of art by Vickie”, said Paul Kulpinski during the unveiling.
Photos of the event and the stained glass piece entitled “Bliss” can be seen on the Mountain Waves Website by clicking here.
